I have recently retired and getting interested and learning digital photography.
I use Nikon D40 and love to shoot landscapes, old structures as well as new
buildings.

Actually, Katie, in the three hours since you posted this, users named iLink, callabenny, kevin001, garyford, jhoy08, ineedtech, dawnhurley0, airambulance1, taurus1, jameswhite9000, bascones, and sanchaye have all joined our small community. It's almost guaranteed that they'll eventually post spam messages like yours, and will all be deleted, like you are about to be.
It is an irritant when we reply nicely to folks, who then disappear in to the ether or spam. Isn't it.

That's why I am never nice to people...
Yes, it's a bit hard sometimes to know who's genuine and who's a spammer... but as a "rule" I just try to be nice to everyone. If anything, hopefully visitors browsing the introduction forum will see how friendly we are.
Sometimes we genuinely meet some nice people - like nia for example who joined us recently and it becomes all worthwhile (actually it seems recent but it's actually been almost a year now).
