Hi Everyone,

Last Thursday a photo of mine was published in the West Australian Newspaper (our big daily paper) on page 5 - almost a full quarter page in colour. I took the shot whilst doing a shoot for a marron exporter (a marron is a freshwater crayfish that lives only in Western Australia).

I got very wet taking this picture as the water flooded into my gum boots while trying to get the best angle.

Here is the pic (it was cropped in a square format for the paper).

Cheers,

Chris
Excellent photo! I loved it, and yes, congratulations for being published, it deserved this. I felt happy as much as your happiness. Thank you, you are a nice photographer,

Have a nice day,
with my love,
nia
Cool shot, full of action, it was worth the hassle! Wink
A little bit different to a wedding shoot, but nevertheless a worthy photo.
Congratulations.
That's awesome Chris! You must be very proud!

How does the actual pic look in the paper? Any chance you can get a scan?

I heard a talk once from a guy who shoots for print, and he says you have to be prepared to be disappointed that your razor sharp pics end up look grainy and washed out due to the printing process and the poor quality paper...
Congratulations.
Cool! Congrats Chris!

I love crayfish!
Its always a thrill to have something published or sold. This is a great image even without the sale...
Congratulations.
Great photo.
That's a much bigger crayfish than we have here in Texas.
Thanks guys - will try and do a scan today.
