I found this collection of photos of public beaches (and how people used to look like when visiting them) very interesting, and it brought a couple of things to mind:
One, it's amazing how good photography is timeless, and two, how candid photography is such an important medium for keeping records of our way of life. Which reminds me of how wonderful it is to have the kind of street photography that our members are so fond of (I'm looking at you Don) - ten, twenty, fifty, even a hundred years on, I'm sure people will look back and examine our "ordinary" photos with the same curiosity and amazement...
