It's Melbourne Cup Day (horse racing) today which means a public holiday for the state of Victoria. Hooray! I'll be relaxing from the stresses of work, maybe heading down to the park for a bbq, and bringing my camera along.

Ahhhh...

Yes what a great day! I've got an annual tradition going to Ascot (the Perth one!) so another day of drinking *sigh*

It's a tradition that it rains on Melbourne Cup day, God must be angry because of all the betting going on, they say. Well, without fail, it's done it again - was bright and sunny this morning, so I went to the local park for a BBQ... we only just had time to eat before the clouds started rolling in, and now it's pouring outside. That's melbourne weather for you!
