I came across a couple of interesting sites that help you compare cameras on paper (or rather on screen). It's good to do your homework before hitting the shops so hope you find these useful.
1. Snapsort
This one is actually really nicely presented and has lots of information. I really like how for each camera it gives pros and cons vs other competitor cameras, so it's easier to make a decision. There's also a detailed comparison page where you can compare 2 particular models, but it goes into much more detail and explains why a particular figure or metric is better.

2. Camsize
This one is a simpler tool but useful for comparing the size (or at least visual size) of cameras. You can choose different views of the cameras and show them side by side or stacked one in front of the other.

Know of any other useful resources or tools? Let us know!
