a shot of Mt Rainier, in Washington state, using only the light of the full moon as illumination. if you look, you can see stars above the mountain... Canon 5D, Tamron SP17-35 lens @ 23mm, 25 sec @ f/4.5, ISO 800...
This is so beautiful, as if I can jump into this view... You really did great shot. Thank you, I am so glad to meet with you, welcome to the Shuttertalk.

Nice! Always good to see an ultra long exposure. Looks just like daylight.

thankls, Toad... yeah, if you leave the shutter open long enough, it does almost look like daylight... but over 25 seconds or so and the stars start to blur, so i try to limit my night shots to no more than that.
I love this one as well - looks like dawn/dusk but with stars in the sky too!
Thanks for sharing the tips...
Are these all taken from where you live?

yeah, these are all within a few hours' drive of home. this one, Mt Rainier, is about 2 hours southeast of me. the coast is about 3-4 hours west, but i have to drive around the Olympic National Park to get there.
