Just because you lot stand on your heads all day, doesnt mean you have any better view than the average British Terrier!

It's all Adam and Dewy's faults. Them and that Shuttertalk fellow. I blame them for all ecentricities!![]()

Hello, elderly Genius with 4 legs and furry ears.
I feel very sorry for the young'uns.
They don't have endowment policies maturing and big FAT cheques arriving through the post ...... like I did last week.

I'm away off to spend some of my tidy, fairly substantial 4 figure sum.
YeeeeeeHaaaaaW!!

You'll be getting some of your own eventually

We always kept various savings plans going so something matured approximately every 10 yrs. Another one due in 5 years + a bonus when the mortgage matures in 2006 iirc. The mortgage bonus will probably be less than we'd hoped for when we took it out (1981)- but at least we don't have a shortfall!
TBH - I'd forgotten about this latest one as it was a 25 yr plan - so it was a fantastic surprise, especially welcome at this time of year.

I'm a muti-millionaire too.

Seriously - look into 10 yr endowment policies. We BOTh had them..... still have one more to mature in 5 yrs time, though that was a 25 yr plan.
It means your life is insured for those 10 yrs - then when the policy matures you get a payment, as I did. NN can also have a policy then you'd get 2 lump sums after 10 yrs ,......... or start them at 5 yrs apart, then each matures after 10 yrs meaning you'd get a payment every 5 yrs as alternate policies mature.
The outlay per month isn't very high. Make some enquiries - 2 of ours were with Abbey Life, 2 with Co-op Insurance.

Awww. He's Cute ....... and I'm certain he'll grow into a beautiful swan, even faster is someone gives him PS or Elements for Xmas.
dewy - I have a boxed copy of Elements2 you could have had -- if you lived nearer
I also have Photoshop 5LE that came with some previous hardware. Maybe you could try asking around and see if anyone has versions that are out-of-date but nevertheless have most of the tools.
Have you tried 'Irfanview' - I haven't seen all your previous postings across the board. It's freeware and a lot of people seem to be well impressed with it.

I'll leave the SSM debate aside for the moment because it's so off topic... but just to clarify the situation:
The Supreme Court of Canada has delivered a mere opinion on four constitutional questions posed to it by the federal gov't about legislation it may (or may not) introduce and which may (or may not) be passed by Parliament. The decision today effects no change in law.
How'd we end up talking about this in the Photoshop forum, anyway?
