Hello to one and all. Although I've been taking pix for 40 or so years, I switched to digital three years ago and I hope Y'all can teach me a thing or many. I use a D70 and a 5100. Just got a fish-eye lens and am still trying to get it figured out....yeah, like I needed another lens. I hope to learn things here. Judging from what I've read so far, it looks like a very high possibility that I will.

Hello,
Welcome to the digital photography forums! We have some very knowledgable members here! Thanks for joining us!
This is a new site for me, and I will sit in the background and learn for a bit. I know it will take me awhile, but I've been taking pix for 40 years with 35mm, and just was "Forced" into Digital a couple of years ago. If this technology were available 30 years ago I wouldn't have wasted umpteen $$ on crappy pix

. No matter how much I might think I know, the more I learn that I really don't know anything.

You'll see that digital photography isn't that different from analog. All the basics are still the same.. it's still shutter speed, aperture, framing and the right moment. Just add the ability to instantly change ISO and to review your pics on the back-screen.
