Hi all,
Just making a first post by way of introduction. After playing at photography for a number of years ( initially with a 35mm Minolta 7000 then laterally with a Pentax K10D Super) I've recently decided to knuckle down to the subject and get on the photographic learning curve with serious intent.
On that basis I'm looking forward to exchanging with y'all over time.
Regards for now,
Bob.
Hi and welcome! The Pentax K100d Super was my first camera as well. I still miss the colors it gave, great image quality for the time. Looking forward to see your shots with it!
Bob,
Hello and welcome to the forums! It is a pleasure to have you here and we look forward to learning more about you as well as seeing some of your work!

Hi vlad,
Yeah, the 'ole K10 is still happily churning out my frequent mistakes
In truth it still has far more capabilities than my current skills can fully exploit. I've sort of fallen for the Pentax way of things now though, so much so in fact that I purchased a K30 body when they first came out. Bunny (the Mrs) thought I'd lost my marbles when she realised I'd brought a white one, claiming that it looked like a 'Star Wars' toy!
She conceded, however, upon seeing it bolted to a Sigma 150/500 lens thereafter and agreed that it did actually look quite good!

Hi, and thank you Barbara.
Not too sure about 'seeing' some of my work...at this stage in my budding photographic career even I can't look at most of it without cringing!
To make matters worse and having only just gotten used to the idea of joined up photography, I'm now flirting dangerously with the 'M' setting on the 'ole K10... which for somebody like me constitutes trying joined up thinking at the same time!
It's great fun though!
Hi and Welcome to shuttertalk Stikin2pentax, been browsing most of my time looking all those great photos posted here and I must say I've pick up few tips and tricks in this forum that is new to me. Looking forward to share new ways and style to take great image.

Yo PhotoPlay,
I haven't checked any photos out yet, but I will in due course and will no doubt turn the kind of green you can get a good meter reading from whilst doing so!
And yeah, I'm also counting on the wealth of experience sites like this offer, especially to photographic semi-doozies like me!

Was that in reference to the gym? If so then thank goodness...the thought of having to spend time working out in the gym in order to lift my Pentax rather scared me quite frankly!

Yes - it was somewhat impressive but the wrong place to post - here in the digital photography forums!
