I'm from the UK and have earned my living as a photographer since I was 18 years
old. I specialise in portraiture and lighting for the same. When I started I worked for Associated Press in London and then freelanced working in film and TV studios as well as West End stage productions. I opened my first studio 30 miles north of London starting as a general photographer shooting whatever work came through the door until I was able to specialise in portraiture, my real love.
By specialising it enabled me to work overseas on regular portrait trips to Hong Kong, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
I'm here to help anyone who needs advice on any aspects of (mainly) portrait photography.

Hi dude,
I find myself looking at portrait stuff sideways (if you know what I mean) despite loving the wildlife and landscape thing to death. As you've clearly been around the block a few times then when a portrait issue manifests itself, You'll be d'man this novice 'togger will be tapping up for knowledge.

Looking forward to exchanging with you in the future.

Hi and welcome to shuttertalk Gil Smile It's good knowing someone from this forum know portraiture in years of experience. Can't wait to see some of your stuff and learning from it.
