Hi Barb and Coachline,
I'm using a Windows pc. After posting the first pic yesterday I rebooted my computer thinking that would correct it, but it still looked distorted, so I reposted it. (Barb, I'm not 100% computer savvy either.) Maybe it was some type of computer glitch on my end, but it sure was strange to see it look normal today. Do we have posting goblins, and if so, do they do editing?
Thanks for your input. Pam
This is Molly's brother Max. Not a great photo but the slightly worried look on his face maybe saves it!.

Coachline,
You certainly captured a concerned look on him. They say that animals don't have a souls, but they certainly have feelings, and you caught it in that photo. When I see expressions like that it reminds me of the phrase, "Angel in a dog suit". The comfort they give and their intuitive nature surpasses understanding.
Pam
Coachline,
That's a great picture of Max. To quote a great photographer, who I believe might have been 'Cartier Bresson' (Sp?) 'it's about capturing the decisive moment'. Well, you certainly got it right in your picture of Max.
Pam,
I don't believe for one minute that animals 'don't have souls'. My Tom did, that's for sure and little Buddy has, without any doubt. If the eyes are 'the windows to the soul' then it's apparent that in Coachline's picture of Max, we can look deep into his soul through the medium of photography. Just my ten penneth worth.

Korry,
This is fine example of 'feline photography'. You have made all of the elements come together in order to capture the magnificence of this majestic creature. Then again, we wouldn't expect anything less from you.

I have never come across that phrase Pam but I agree that dogs do give great comfort to their owners and there are many stories of them saving lives and such-like. Max has no worries and lives a very stress-free life.
Lady-friend was out with her pals tonight so I had to entertain myself... Made a gif of Max but I don't know if gifs can be posted. It's over the limit anyway. Here's the last 'frame'.

Phil,
I totally agree with you, I should have indicated that I'm not one of the "they". I should have said "the naysayers" instead of "they". That's why I said the other things that I did. I've seen too much evidence of animals that seem to have more of a soul than some humans, especially in this day and age!
My sister died of cancer a few years ago and hours before she was rushed to the hospital my dog woke me up at 3am howling-something that he had never done before and has never done since. I've heard it said that it can be a sign of impending death. It's as if he "knew", because she was rushed to the hospital a few hours after this bizzare howling incident and she died several days later. I've also heard the story of a cat that visits the rooms of people in a nursing home who are about to make their transition.
After all is said and done, "The lion will lay down with the lamb."...in heaven. My dogs have been a godsend to me. I truly believe we'll be with our loving four-legged companions in the afterlife. I wouldn't want it any other way. Heaven just wouldn't be the same without them.

Very interesting, heartfelt article Barbara. I've heard that when cancer cells become necrotic they emit a certain odor that dogs can detect. Not only did my dog sense what was happening with my sister with his howling-she and I had a special connection-she was my twin.
Phil and Coachline, I didn't mean to babble in my earlier email-I was exhausted and should have responded after a good nights sleep. I should have simply said, The naysayers have said..etc. I didn't mean to imply that I was one of them-I should have clarified that. I believe that our furry companions have souls, all you have to do is look into their eyes and experience their love to sense it.
Here's the article on Oscar the cat that I mentioned previously, who accurately predicted the death of 50 patients who were about to die. He enters their room and jumps on their bed to comfort them in their final hours. He's even proven the doctors wrong.

Hi Kevin,
Welcome to the forum. You've got some great bird shots there. Looks like the original 'aviators' are your thing.
Regards.
Phil.
This is a Least Grebe that I photographed last Sunday at Estero Llano Grande State Park in South Texas. (We winter down here.) It was a great day for photography! Also some Yellow Crowned Night Herons (immature) cooperated very well for us! Because of the fog that morning there was not much color on the water, but it made this turtle shot into a great abstract.
