Brother-in-Law's restored Lotus. Bought as an insurance write off. Person he bought it off, had bought as a write off, spent two years restoring, and wrote it off on first drive. Taken on .8M Pixel camera. Ed.
Ed, That's a really nice picture of the rather rare Elan Sprint. New model Lotuses don't have the same sense of 'fun' about them any more.

Anyway, here are a few pics for the racing fans who are with us. Hope you like them. Smile

Firstly a couple of shots of the 7.25 litre Aston Martin Lagonda racing engine which subsequently and sadly blew up two thirds into it's classified heat.

Also, a genuine Lotus 7, which as been the subject of lots of TLC and goes as well as it looks. A genuine racing version, she has all the usual racing 'bells and whistles' which one would expect.

Engine and Interior, dashboard was Veneered, by B-i-L All taken for insurance purposes. Ed.
Ed,

As always with you, beautiful photographs. This time of one of the classic British sports cars of the 60's/70's. Quite nostalgic to see those Twin Weber DCOE 40's, which always made it difficult to top up the hydraulics of the brake system. We used to have to drop off the air filter cowl to get at it.

Great pictures Ed, really enjoyed the look.

Cheers.

Fabulous shot!! The blue against the gold is perfect and the blue sky reflects in the bike. Nice leading lines and the M/C is just offset enough from center. Nice and sharp too! Wonderful capture!

Where in S/W Ont. I come from St. Thomas....

Looks like a sales brochure shot.

Love the vanishing point at the barn.

Well done!
Well worth cloning out the shed and the red vehicle. (?). Super. Ed.
Yes Ed,

I'd go along with that. Then it'd be a real advert shot and some profit would be made!! Smile NOW it's worthwhile doing.

Regards.

This seems to be a popular thread, so here is an image of my 1973 Honda CB350F posed to rip along one of my favorite roads in Southewestern, Ontario, Canada.

I'm a keen VW fan and I belong to ClubGTI, the big UK VW club.

This is a picture of one of our Golfs - this red one is my son's. He was not too happy to find both our cats asleep on his bonnet barely an hour after he'd spent all morning cleaning and polishing his pride and joy! :-)

Good one. Heat seeking felines.

I suppose that a benefit of densely packed engine compartments is that cats can no longer get literally on top of the engine, then get chopped by the fan when awakened by the starting engine.
I'm trying not to think about minced cat!

Under that bonnet is an 8 valve engine, so there is a bit of space. Unlike the one I saw at GTI International that had a Mk4 R32 engine and other parts under a Mk2 bonnet - there wasn't enough space left to fit in anything larger than a paper clip! ;-)

Isotta Fraschini FIAT

FIAT designed this twin-engined Land Speed Record car in 1905 - but it was never built.

Fiat did originally plan for it to have two 4-cylinder GP engines. This recreation uses the 1917 Isotta Franchini engine. The Isotta 16.5litres, 250hp is a straight six aero engine with a built in gun synchroniser.
