My name is Watty Hunter, I am a 27 year serving Army Officer who has taken up photography in the last three years so I can keep myself sane. So far its the best thing I have ever done and I am having a ball experimenting and learning all the time. I have a Nikon D3200 kit and have just bought a 50mm 1.8 and so far the new lens has blown me away. I look forward to learning from the forum in the future. Big Grin
Welcome to the forum, Watty. What aspects of photography are you trying out? Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
Hello and welcome!

It is a pleasure to meet you and have you here in the forums! Please make yourself at home here, ask questions, join conversations, post some pics if you like!

Hi Watty
welcome to the forum , like you Im still learning but the old hands in here will keep you on the right tracks , there are some great snappers in here, i would say verging the professional .
Do you use post picture magic techniques , what package do you use , I have resisted buying this until I can take good snaps.
Once again welcome.
Im in Hampshire UK , if your still serving where are you based.

Salute. Ed.
thanks for the welcome all

Dean I don't really have a preferred aspect but I am fond of photographing people and I tend to do so as I travel around the globe I will post some soon for feedback, I also dabble in macro and love photographing flowers etc.

Jon , I am still serving and currently in process of moving from Canterbury to Perth Scotland. I tend to use Photoshop CS5 to adjust my photos which tends to be for over or under exposure, I would recommend it as I find it relatively easy to use.
Hi Watty

Im not the best person to tell you how to post , but here goes:
Click on Browser button- this takes you to your own folders in your computer. Open the folder with your pictures in it , dont forget to compress them first , then click on the picture you want to attach - once this has been done you then press the Add Attachment button AND WAIT. the picture may take a few moments to upload, Successful upload is shown at bottom left side of page. Do this for all pictures.
Then click on Post Reply button, and thats it.
if you want to review them before you post , click on preview post first then post .
