I want to say hello, and tell you something about myself as I am new here . I am only just the wrong side of 50, married with a grown family. I'm not sure I have found my niche in photography yet, but I do love still life , abstract and minimalist. I have lots to learn but have learned a lot. I have been seriously into photography for about 5 years, starting with a Canon 1000D but now I have a Canon 60D. I like to ask questions and advice, as that's how I learn and if I post an image, please be honest with critique. If my image is pants, please tell me. If there's areas of improvement, again be honest. Enough of my rambling. If you want to know anything else, please ask. Im friendly, helpful and approachable.
Welcome Digi, you have come to the right place. You will find friendly people who are happy to help. There are a good collection of UK members on site. I am in Staffordshire. Mike.
Hello,

Welcome to the photography forums! Looking forward to reading your posts and seeing some of your work when you have some time!
Thanks for the welcome

I worked for some time in Newton Aycliffe, so I have SOME knowledge of the North-East. Welcome to Shuttertalk, we don't bite, (at least Most of us don't!). Look forward to your posts.
Welcome, Digidiva. As Mike said, lots of UK people here - I am from Lincoln but would like to be from Northumberland - when that lottery ticket does its job!
