Hello Everyone! I have been shooting for about 30 years. I use to shoot weddings and do a great deal of portrait work mostly candid. I love film and had a tough time giving it up, especially B&W! LOL! I so loved the dark room. :-( I started with an Olympus OM1, went to a Nikon 8008N and then to an F4 and now have a D80 and a D300 both of which were used, as I couldn't decide what Digital Nikon I wanted! Oh and an SB24 speed flash, outdated but I love it! Big Grin

I was assaulted in my classroom and had some severe injuries and have been unable to shoot for about 6 years. I swear everything I knew I have forgotten, but I know I will get there. I am loving the digital process, but am still getting use to the fact that the aperture ring is on the body of my camera!

Can't wait to really get into learning and moving forward in the digital arena!

THank You Barbara!
Hello Diane,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that Barbara is right when she says "I am sure a lot will come back to you". I also have a D300 and it took me a bit of time to adapt to having both speed and aperture rings 'on the camera'. It felt all wrong to start with, but, after a while it has become second nature. So, if I can get used to it, so can you. Smile

There is loads of help available here and we're a really friendly bunch. So any queries or problems, just ask and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Best regards.

Phil.
