I would blur the right hand side a bit? Ed.
Perhaps the range of depth of field needed moving forward to include the toes of the boots, and it looks like one of those shots where a different shooting position, e.g. moving a bit to the left (if possible), might have helped both background and exposure. The very bright window is not just itself pure white, but it has caused a loss of detail and texture in the old worn leather of the boots. Single shot alternatives might have been to decrease the exposure and either use fill-in flash or raise the shadow areas in post processing.

Love the composition here, these are the types of shots I need to look for, I would of walked right past these.
