This happens to be my first attempt at capturing a bird in flight. Truth be told, I was rather pleased with the outcome. There will, no doubt, be many areas where improvement can be made. I would appreciate any advice or pointers that those with greater experience may wish to impart.
Nikon D3300 + Tamron 70-300mm.
Manual, 1/2500 @ f/9 ISO 1600, 240mm.

Nicely done for a first attempt Smile

It would be improved to my eye if the bird was position in teh upper part of the image, I like where it falls ont eh right, but feel space beneath it rather than above would make it visually more appealing.

Great start!
Thanks Craig.
Excellent advice and much appreciated. Will keep this in mind.

The pesky things never are in the correct place. Just keep on practising.
