God! for any other reason the day I posted my first try with the moon, I couldn't post this one... Time later I was very unsure about my picture and well... As this is sort of learning room... Well I leave it to you for your comments.... Smile

Thanks a lot.

There is a problem with composition here, Irma. You have those yellow lights (windows?) at the bottom. You should either brighten them or crop or clone them out. I like this but I think you should crop the right side of the photo to the middle of those trees to the right of the frame. Then increase the visability of those windows by enhancing brightness or "dodging."

Now then.

I was thinking.

Then I stopped.

Then I thought again.

This is what I thought. "hmmm, mmm,,errrr,,,...

It was then that I realised my problem. I've never taken a "moon and trees" pic. That's why I cant really comment.
Sorry.

Otherwise I would.

But I cant.

:o
I prefer a vertical crop. I hope the windows don't look too fake Smile

the moon is over exposed. (but if that was the intention in the first place...)

since all the other elements in the scene are silhouetted, it would have been better to take an exposure reading from the moon itself. that way the moon will be properly exposed and you'll still get the silhouette of the surroundings.

crop the bottom third to remove the windows, they distract the eye from the main subject which is the moon and it's "ghostly" effects on the branches.
@Don: I will do something with the windows I like the detail.. I think that gives a warm feeling in the picture....

@ST: Yes, as you and Don suggested it needs a crop... I will work on that as well.

@patch17: You are right, I have to try again with the moon... Probably different settings...

Thanks a lot for your comments and I will be back with more moon tries... I hope you don't mind Smile and I hope I never had to right "My 285th try with the moon" :|
I love the photo has a bit of a Eeery fwwling to it Smile
I have tried the moon several times after these pictures but nothing better... However, I tried one in the morning when the moon is not that bright and I got it! I was so happy. The thing was that it was not a full moon and it didn't have any propper context. I will make another picture next time I find her this way. Thanks for your comment Smile
