Nice image, beautifully exposed, but I feel it could do with a smidgen more sharpening.
Nice to see you back on the forum Craig. Macro is an area that I hope to practice during this year. Any tips are more than welcome. Love the colour of your shot.
Do you have any experience of Focus Stacking ?.
Regards, Mike.
Haven't tried focus stacking yet at all, it's on my to do list for last year... running behind. For best results with macro a good quality tripod to hold the camera absolutely steady is essential. The above shot was taken using a monopod and I had a lot of shots I wasn't satisfied with from that session. Shame on me because I know better and the tripod was half a mile away in the car.
Thanks for that Craig. First day of Spring tomorrow but the weather forecast for March in the UK is grim. Very cold and possibility of snow at Easter. You will not be the only one running late.
Regards, Mike.

Yes, my family back in Derbyshire and Lincolnshire are still complaining of the cold and snow flurries last week. I don't miss those winters in Derbyshire.
