A bit of squaring up, some contrast and a bit of sharpening was all I did. 2 minutes work.

Overcast day - presumably no blue in the sky?
The first image posted (Post #1) just needs a bit of contrast to reduce the flatness of the light and to enhance the clouds, and also some sharpening to bring out the textures of the stone, wood, grass and water:
