Welcome John. We would love to see your work for critique. I am sure you have to make several posts before you are allowed to upload images, so jump in, post a few comments and we look forward to seeing your images.
Welcome, a few years ago, my first posting was a pic, but that could have changed. Ed.
You are correct once again Ed. It was a signature I had to wait to add, not a photo.
I find the easiest way is upload the photos direct from my computer to the forum.
From
Post A New Reply it is just a case of
Choose File and
Add Attachment. Once the images is loaded to the forum you will see an
Inset Into Post. Hit that and it is there.

If you hit
Preview Post you will only see an icon, but once you select
Post Reply the image will be there.
I use JPEG 1400 x 900 for my posts. The forum resizes to a max of 916 pixels on the largest dimension.
