Dungeness lends it's self to black and white images here is one from yesterdays visit, 5D3 (EF 16-35 f4 L) 1/250 f16 ISO 400 35mm
Great photo. Only thing that jumps out at me is the haloing around the edges of the boat. It's really noticeable on the right hand side. No idea what causes it - something in the processing, no doubt. Other than that, great work.
Cheers guys have a look at this one processed slightly differently , more photoshop less lightroom
The haloing is typically a result of the clarity tool, also appears in some HDR images. Like the reworked version.
It is a lovely image, and removing the haloes has definitely improved it.
Just one minor point - I liked the darkening of the pebbles towards the horizon in the first, although it was a bit too dark in that version. The pebbles on the right now almost merge with the sky, so If they are to be brighter, perhaps they should be made as bright as those on the left.
Cheers.
Philip
I found I sometimes get haloing, using SilverEfex Pro, if I am not careful.
