Anyone into stereo photography? That's where you take two side by side images (which show slightly different viewpoints). By viewing the image using various techniques (including putting them side by side crossing your eyes) the images combine into one and appear as 3D!

I stumbled upon this site:

Which uses a slightly different technique -- flipping between the two using an animated gif. The result is quite astounding indeed! Big Grin
interesting!

I see naked people! Rolleyes
I wonder what would happen if the frame rate was much higher?
Yeah I was wondering that too...
You beat me to it. I was going to post this too. Pretty cool ay. I've also given thought to what it would be like to add a third and forth. I loaded one of the images to ulead gif animator to check it out.
Ooh, do let us know what the results are! I'm keen to see the results of Rufus's suggestion of increasing the frame rate...
I once took a stereo photo using my digicam. I snapped one image of clouds. I took a half step to the side and snapped the equivalent image. When I cropped and positioned the two images side by side they worked like a stereogram. With some precision, you can get good stereo images that way.
