I got bored with the traditional fireworks shots this year and took on some Mazda Zoom Zoom Zoom

Wow! Great zoom effect! I've never seen it in conjunction with fireworks before... nicely done.

I was also trying to avoid 'traditional' shots because they were all the same and things... but I gave up after the first few shots
then I started trying to take pictures of the moon! haha

Mazda zoom zoom? Does that mean you took them from the car? Wierd stuff anyway. :/

I'm guessing that means you played with the zoom during the exposure. Very cool!

judging from the photo .. you were on the south foreshore as well ?

no, that was me, and it was 4 cameras, 2 with big white L series

Actually I was in Dianella about 15kms north from the city on my sister in laws balcony. It was quite funny listening to all the neighbours singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody.

And yeah what I meant was zooming while the shutter was open. Exposure was 3.2" at 5.6 ISO 400
