Yes, always.
Anyway, I've had a quick play with this lens now. Here's a quick rating
AF: Slow and hesitant, noisey.
Build: Good. Very heavy indeed. Tripod collar standard.
Speed 4.5-5.6
Image quality: Very good at full aperture, excellent stopped down.
Overall impression, very good for the money. 9/10
Cost £299 = 558 USD = 710 AUD (roughly).

You make it sound like a feature...
That's a pretty good price, I must say..

It IS a feature!!
Well....... It was during the test shots, as the wind was 40mph!
Yes, it's a great price. I have seen it in many places at nearly twice the amount!
Thanks folks.
Anyhow, here are two pics.
Please note that the ONLY reason for posting these, is to show how 135 and 400 look.
There is no artistic value, nor technical value in these pics. They are ONLY focal length examples.
So there.

Looks great.
Did you buy a separate side-car for your motorcycle to carry it around?
Nice shots - looks crisp and clear.
Do you rest the lens on your shoulder (like a bazooka) when shooting ?

Yes.
Now everyone thinks I'm a Terrierist!

Hey you should try using it for astrophotography and stuff like that...
Howl at the moon and shoot it too!
