I took this photo focussing on this orange flower that stood out....It looked bland so I cropped it pretty severely to a wide screen panoramic look......
What do you think?

I would do it like this, if my object is the orange flower...
Crop, duplicate layer, blend multiply, opacity 45.

How about this. I chose a crop to this side, as the flower-head "looks" to the viewers left.
