I think it's time we resumed with these photo assignments - this time round, the topic is "Blue". Interpret it how you will, but I've composed a little something for inspiration:

Life devoid of sunshine
Mirth absent from view
Living without hope is like
Seeing through one hue

Basically, just shoot an image which fits in the theme and upload it to the gallery. Hopefully we'll get a nice collection of shots...

When I try uploading it only lists galleries 1-3, doesn't offer Blue.

I like the idea of assignments, but I don't like how these assignments are structured and would like to propose a change.

There are several pictures in the new assignment gallery that I haven't seen - and didn't even know were there until I tried to upload.

Can we do this assignment by simply uploading pictures to this thread?

That way, the new entries will be in everyone's normal Shuttertalk surfing workflow - i.e.check for new posts and check unread posts out...

I quickly forget to look at special galleries - particulalry if there is no new thread post to remind me.

I remember someone complaining about that last time - that no one looked at or commented on the assignment galleries. Last time - that person started a new thread with their challenge photo so that people would look at it.

Ok, I'm all for change! Let's post them in this thread instead.

Wow! all are great photos. Toad's is exceptional. Well done all. I do have one issue though. Can we try and stay away from posting archive photos? Wouldn't that be more of a challenge?

Yes, that is a good idea Petographer. And also I would like to know if it is just one picture we can post or more.
