Wow! This is exceptional work, Irma!

I love the detail on the apple, and the lighting is quite dramatic. The texture of the droplets on the apple and in the background is wonderful.

Care to share how you achieved this? I wanna try too! Big Grin
You just need a boring rainy day, and no place to go Big Grin

Here is what I did, I placed a table near my window, and I sprayed the apple with water. I took some pictures with macro from a lot of angles and I got this one. The apple was very close to the window, not to blurred the background much. It was originally a color picture, but we discussed about the theme of the picture, and it didn't deliver the message. I tried b&w to make more dramatic the image.

Thanks for your comments Jules. Smile
I like it. Nice shot.

Hey Irma,
I meant to reply to this when you posted it last week, but didn't have time and then forgot until now.

Well done! I simply love this image.
You've taken all the great things about the last apple you photographed, addressed some of the (minor) quibbles, and then added SO much more with the simple inclusion of a rainy window and water on the apple. Brilliant.

This is such an improvement, I really can't think of anything to critize about it!

The focus is a little soft on the front of the apple, but I think that actually works well, as it draws attention to the water drops and the step rather than the apple's front surface.

The background is fantastic - it adds to the story and isn't boring, yet isn't distracting either. The composition and cropping and shapes in the image (such as the round apple, vertical stem, etc) all work flawlessly, and the lighting and exposure are simply perfect.

Well done.
Cheers
