Hate to think of such morbid stuff, but my wife says all the time - if there was a fire in the house, the first thing she would grab on the way out would be the photo albums - as they're irreplacable.

What about with digital? Most of my photos are on a PC... I don't think I will be grabbing that and running out a burning building

Maybe I should consider getting an external HDD -- that's easily transportable...

I actually have back-ups of my images on CD in a fire safe. Along with passport, greencard and a few other essentials.

I also keep archives of a lot of my more precious images online in storage.

Nice to know she values her photos more than her hubby ... but I guess he's "replacable."
