Yukk! Just kidding.. it's a lovely shot! I like the lighting and the texture of the leaves.
I am thinking that a little more sharpness on the "serrated" edges may lift it a little.
Thanks Peted for your comment, that was one of my doubts with this picture. My immediate idea was to soften the edge, but I didn't think of sharpening it. I will see what I can do!

Thanks ST, I like the lighting as well.
Back lit foliage always looks good to me, the greens are great Irma. One thought though... have you tried a monochrome conversion?
Lovely color. This is an example of a class. There are many photos like this.
Bob, I thought about it but I didn't dare. I thought it might lose the charm because of the colors, but it might be worth the try. Thanks, I will work on this one with your advices and I will post them tomorrow, so I will have time to refine it better.

Thanks for your comment, Don.
Suggestions

1. make it darker

2. Try some line emphasis

Hi irma.

I like the composition of your first post. I think it has the righ amount of sharpness and softness.

Maybe it is OK to make it darker as in Don's first treament but that makes the colors posterize too much to give the smooth texture.

I would leave it as it is. Sometimes you need to know when to say "stop messing with it" - I never get this right myself.

Well done.
Thanks Don for your suggestion, I like #1. Smile

Thanks Toad for your comment . You are right, sometimes it is difficult to say "that is enough" Smile
First attempt at Monochroming it. Boosted Satturation, tweaked channels a little. Then converted to Monochrome.

Wow! I never thought I would turn out this way! Looks super! Thanks for sharing your technique Smile
I've seen a lot of back lit foliage in the last 4 months of competitions, and they usually look pretty sweet in monochrome. Smile
