I picked up a cool little guitar stand last week, for only $17 AUD! It's pretty good - sturdy, and folds up for portability. And it's one of those A frame types with a low centre of gravity so you don't have to fiddle with the long neck holder thing.

You don't keep your guitar in a case? :o

I've got a similar one to that "
I keep my guitar in the case, the stand is for when I need to put the guitar down for 5 minutes, or at church. or when I want to take a photograph of it

Ditto what adam said - when I'm playing at church, I use the stand so I can pick it up again easily. And I don't have to leave the case lying around, which takes up space on stage.

When you play at church you should bring a cheapie and do a Pete Towsend. At least it would go over better than a Jimmy.
