What are you portraying with these Don? I think I missed the boat on these two.

I just thought the tree in the first shot was interesting. It looked like a man tied to the fence. The other was just pleasing to me, the green and the yellow.

Taking into account the titlle / theme you want to approach with your pictures I think #2 is more accurate... The blue sky and the highlights in the trunk let me see that it is a sunny day. To suggest that it is after the storm some raindrops would have been fine here...
