#1 Too dark and shadowy. As a result, the focus "barbed wire" does not receive the detail and focus it should. Also, the house in the background is distracting and takes away from the focal point... the fence. Some blurring could have been applied.

#2. B&W works for this photo.

Overall I would think they are a tad too dark...

#1 doesn't work for me compositionally, but #2 does...

Monochrome the image and I think #1 works for me, I like the cloud.

Thanks. It was the open house of a prefab homes manufacturer. The day was very monochromistic.
