Yes I did! :o
About 6am, low sunlight, white fibreglass and dark riverside tones. Up the exposure, fibreglass texture gone! Drop it and BUMP! No detail elsewhere.
This then is a combination of 2 images, one bright, one dark.
Opinions please;

Easy fix. Shadow/highlight tool in PS. Value of 28 for highlights and 10 in shadow. Nice and serene capture.

Another method of tweaking could be to make 2 copies from the original RAW - process one duplicate for processing the boats in the foreground, then process the other duplicate for the water and distant background - then put them on top of each other in PS and merge the layers by maybe using a gradient, different transparency percentages of the layers, eraser brush or whatever means you prefer for merging the 2 layers.

Ah, sweetie!
As I said, the top-most pic is, in fact two merged.

Doh! I thought you meant you'd taken 2 separate shots, one exposed for the boats and the other exposed for the background.
... and

to you too.

Great composition Rufus.. I love the line of boats and the names, all set against the backdrop of reflections in the water.
Good job on the fix too, Pet-o ... it's very much improved!
