This summer I've been looking for a pastoral/rural picture... This picture was taken late in the afternoon. When I saw the picture I liked, but it had a lot of problems.... it was very noisy, it was a bit blurred, but I loved the color of the sky and the environment ... It looks to me very rural...
What do you think? .... this picture is something I would like very much to print ....
Thanks in advance for your comments/advice...
Irma.

I really like the lighting Irma - soft and sensitive. Perhaps a bit of too much of a magenta cast for my liking. Have you run curves on it to reduce it marginally?
I might even be inclined to crop a 1/2 inch or so of the foreground. Almost, but not to the bushes. Just seems to frame nicer. Though I have been known to be wrong several times a day...
Thoughts?
I like the softness and hues - being a Velvia user, the magenta does not bother me too much. I would agree with Jerry's comment on the crop.
...and can you get the cows to turn around?

Thanks Jerry for your comment.
I worked with curves in this one and I have cropped a bit. I saw just now that there is barn or house in the upper right part, I will work with this corner, because it is blurred and one can't appreciate well what it is, and it looks weird.

Toad I have a cow that I cropped in an extra layer... it is laying in the ground and you can see a bit of her face... do you think it would be better if I add some cows... one or two turning their faces...
Thanks for your comment

I like this photo and could see it hanging on
my wall.

As I scrolled down the page revealing the image the first thing that came to mind was also cropping the bottom of the image. I see that you have but I still think you should crop more so that the bushes are right on the bottom. The house or barn in the right corner doesn't concern me to the point where it needs to be more visible. It is nice having something as such to make people go "hey, there's a little house there too". You also don't want it competing with the moo'ers.

The curves adjustment you did works well too.
I really like it! Great job. A bit more crop though on the bottom, to the foot of the bushes would be great!
Nice shot with subtle processing Irma!!!
Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate your comments.... I've been working and I found some sheep and the cow .... I have them in a separeted layer so I will see how it looks with more animals to make company to those two

without been so much
Thanks again ...
I will have my first print!! Now I can go happy to sleep
