Once again Shawn, I like what you are illustrating with this photo, but I think it may have been a better portrait shot. I'd like to see more of the tree below the tree house, and less of the tree immediately to the left (the blurred out one). This is a distracting part of the photo.
What version of photoshop are you getting? I may have some books for you.

What about this one? Slightly different crop, some curves work, colors, dodging and burning areas
noise reduction and a bit of sharpening.

I like what you've done Shawn. The colours and dynamic range is very nice.
I somewhat agree with Jerry in that I think a vertical crop would work better, especially in removing the right hand portion of the image. To my eye, the tree in the middle cuts the image too much, and there's nothing of interest to the right of it, really.
By the way, if you're looking for some free software for image editing....
