beautiful photos and a great series.
The skin tones look a little too pale; perhaps the conversion relied too much on the red channel? I would suggest using more green or blue.
Caveats: I'm using an LCD monitor, which shows an exaggerated brightness (compared to a CRT), and don't see many babies in colour or b&w.

The skin tones IMO aren't too bad. Maybe a bit pale but it was the shadowing in the first frame that caught my attention. Still, a great little series. This is something that would merit framing in this particular way for your wall.

Your convertion is really good... Where I see problems is in the lit part of his face... but this is not problem of your convertion but I think the picture itself... Perhaps if you tried to get some more detail in that part and then make your convertion?? Also the size of the picture is very small... probably you have detail there... difficult to say at this size... Try to avoid heavy contrast light/shadow and provide a mild light I just think about this... going from left to right first the window then the baby with his back to the window, then you with the camera and then a mirror reflecting the light of the window in his face... probably this way you can get a less hard light in his face... Well, it is just an idea....
hope it helps
About your pictures... They are gorgeous... he is looking great...!!

Thanks very much for your comments.
These were taken under an overcast sky, so I had thought that the lighting was fairly even. Perhaps I needed to underexpose a little more. He does have very white skin- but I'm just making excuses

Great series indeed! Love the expressions and the three-in-one frame is excellent. Well done!
