My question here is about the post processing... The landscape is probably boring, but what I am trying to achieve here are bright colors and a spectacular blue sky... Do you think it looks good?

Thanks for your comments Smile

I like it a lot Irma. I think you're well on the way toacieving your goal with this. My only complaint is that it's perhaps a little dark. But that might be just me Smile

Hmmm,

Looks dark on my monitor too. But that makes it very moody.
Leave it like this, it's great! Smile
Well...I see R disagrees with me, but I've had a quick play in PSCS2 anyway, so here's my effort:

I just adjusted the levels at each end, broughtthe brightness up a tad and contrast down, moved the hue a little to the right and increased saturation slightly.

I still like the original though Smile

Your shot is very nice but I must say I like what NN has done. It reminds me of this-morning on the way to work. As I was driving I noticed a very similar golden glow of the fields. Very coincidental. Smile
Nice shot Irma - the clouds are awesome! So fluffy...

I like what you've done NN -- it gives it a real kick Big Grin
I like both shots too. Lovely tones
I love the colors in this, Irma. They seem really natural not exaggerated. The sharpness is wonderful too. I'm envious. I do think NN's version really picks up the brightness and contrast.
Thanks a lot for your comments Smile

NN your try is great you got more detail in the trees... I worked with this picture with two layers... one with the sky and the other one the trees and field, since I didn't know how to get a blue sky like this in just one layer without affecting the other colors... the problem doing this is that some times you have a lot of detail in your landscape and to crop out the sky is very difficult.... I have worked with just one layer and I got it similar to yours... Thanks for your help Smile I will leave this one as it is but now I know how to do it in one layer...

I added the red hue to the fiel becase it looked a bit warmer, but I lost detail in the trees...

Thanks again.
Irma.
I have a weakness for skies: nice. NN's pp has made it sing too. As I'm a latecomer to post-processing, I'd have to say that my own way of working is to get the "front end" to do the work so that the later stuff is minimal. I know what I'm saying here is superfluous to the shot at hand, but I try to meter off the blue of the sky, then again off a patch of well-lit green. In metering terms, these 2 values will likely be be closer to "18% grey", with the green being closest. I'd then use a ND grad on the sky to balance the 2 exposure values, setting my camera's exposure manually on the value fronm the green bit. End result would be a good sky with correctly-exposed groundy bits.
I truly think your shot has worked well, with NN's pp offsetting the camera's "stopping down" of the sky.
If I'm working quickly, I might just hope for the best by increasing exposure comp. by +1, but hey, the delights of RAW!!
I take my hat off to any who put in as much work on your photography as you do, by the way!
Now, if you'd positioned yourself closer to the ground here, that would pick up both foreground detail and get some interesting movement along the lines of corn.
(Now that I've said all that, all my own efforts have turned out too contrasty, as I haven't used the direction of light like you have!)
Thanks for your comment Zig... Just few days ago I was about to buy a gradual ND filter but I was told that if I work with digital pictures, I might get the same effect this filter does with PS... I have read very little about this filter but I'll read more because I am interested... I like your idea about going a little bit down and get that movement you said... I have this landscape very close to my home so I could try again Smile
I'd like a go, please!

Well, dog-boy, I quite like it, but IMHO you've gone a bit OTT and lost the atmosphere.
