Still working with my BW convertion... This picture was very difficult, there was very little contrast... After my convertion, G got the idea about working with levels... this bettered a lot... What do you think? Does it looked well??

Thanks for your comments Smile

Absolutely Irma. Very nice. Smile The one thing to watch for is that the birds eyes are in the rule of thirds. I believe you are close.
Thanks Colin, you are very kind... Smile I cropped a little already... just to place it off center and the eye close to the rule of thirds Smile Sometimes I get so nervous when I am taking the pictures of birds that I just forget to work a bit in my composition...
After looking at this again I wouldn't change a thing. The conp is fine. The exposure and tones are as well. It is a very nice photo.Cute too. Smile How did you manage to get so close to the little fella?

I agree completely! (Well, maybe it's a tad underexposed, or so it looks on my monitor. But otherwise it's a gem!)
What a pretty little thing. I love your conversion, you did a fantastic job, Irma.
Thanks for your comments Smile I really love this picture...

It might be a bit underexposed, Mitch. It was very difficult the contrast in this picture...

It was by chance.... I was near a pond looking for a nice water lily to photograph and then I saw something moving a bit far from me... I saw what it was and I went slowly to the ground... when I was at level I started taking pictures... he was hopping towards me so that gave me the good angle Smile this picture is the one before the last one... after its photo session it flew to join the the others... Smile

Now I am more careful, so I kneel and go a bit forward to get the right angle...I used to sit on the floor and take my pictures, but the other day I didn't pay attention and I sat in a dog's business... disgusting!! I had to take off my trousers to get into the car... Rolleyes
