Following Jeri's suggestion I made my first attempt at a popout..... I need to redo it and cut the hooves out with much more care, but as a quick and dirty attempt at this process I present:-

I've redone the image much more carefully and tweaked the affect slightly. Image has changed.

Oh, I was just going to say - make sure the shadow on your sig goes in the same direction...
