it was my wife's grad ceremony a few weeks ago, besides the normal shots with the family, i got some "building" pictures as well...

Great stuff patch! Congrats on your wife's graduation, and congrats on the photos too.

My fav is the first one I like the tones of the sky above, and also the textures of the brick.
Love the first one, very imposing.
Both are great but the first one is my favorite Smile The perspective is fantastic and you got a great cloudy sky!!

Congratulations to your wife Smile
I like the post processing on #2. Looks like a bit of simplifier or smart blur - I could be wrong. I think it could use just a hint of sharpening, and you would have yourself a real winner!
Wow! cool Smile
My school SmileSmileSmile hehehe
thanks for the comments guys.

the first picture was originally in shot in colour with the intent to convert to b&w later on. (i only had colour film at the time) did some darkening of the sky using PS, adjustment of levels and a touch of USM.

2nd picture was shot inside the hall, no flash, iso 400 film at an aperture of about f4, just enough light to get a shutter speed of about 1/30 (i had a 50mm lens).

i'm really hopless when it comes to flash photography and people, i guess i need more practice.

keep shooting.
