I took this picture in the garden time ago.... It had a dark green background and at the moment I was working on the colors of the flowers my background got darker and darker.. I saw the possibility of darkening it completely... and I got this... I don't really like flowers against black background, but somehow I liked this one... Perhaps because it is mine Wink

My doubt here is about light and contrast.... What do you think?

Thanks a lot for your comments... Smile

I like the image and the tones very much. I just think the flowers need a little punch to brighten up without changing the colour.
Thanks Colin, I will work on that tomorrow Smile
They are a little understated for my taste. The colors can be a little more saturated. Something has to be heightened. Maybe I'm just a thoroughly modern man. Lol.
Thanks Don. I just remembered , I had this other version, I find it a bit more colorful Smile

I like it better Irma but it's still pretty tame. You are so civilized. Lol
Love the second version Irma, very rich colors.
I'm with Bob, Love the second version!
Hmmm. I like the first version, actually. Reminds me of classic wallpaper - excellent exposure.
I'm with Toad on preferring the first version. Looking at the image, the more subtle, nuanced colour seems more realistic. Either way, the composition is exactly right and I really like the deep DOF.

The other big difference is in the black level: for this I prefer the second image, since the stems aren't visible. In the first, I can just barely make them out, and the 'just barely' effort becomes distracting. That said, I'm using an LCD monitor, on a CRT or in print this probably wouldn't show.
I still preferr the first over the 2nd. The tones are so much more relaxing and not as loud.
I worked on this picture to give it to my Mommy on her birthday... I just knew today that she never received the mail with the picture Sad

The picture here is 50-50 G likes the second one and I like the first one Smile

Matt about the stems yes, you are right, in this regard the second one is better ...

Thanks a lot for your comments Smile
I like the 2nd one because the colours are punchier... I suppose if you could get the same vivid yellow on the first pic while retaining the background, you'd have the best of both worlds...
2nd for me; warmer and glowing.
