Tonal range and texture are great. Lovely feel to it; I like the rose so much, though, that my eye wants to crop more tightly around it!

hmm.. lovely idea Irma.
The b/w treatment works well.. the composition is very nice.. the blurred curtains and strong vertical lines in the vacant space work really well. The only thing that bothers me about it is that the rose itself. It doesn't command the attention it deserves. And because it is the only thing in focus in the shot, it makes the whole shot feel a little soft I think. Its just not prominant enough.
Now.. if the wall behind the rose were darker or there was a shadow on it or something to give some contrast around the rose, or even if you used a different coloured rose (or you might be able to do a different b/w conversion using the PS channel mixer), I think it would really jump out more and work much better.
But I do like where its going.![Smile Smile](https://www.shuttertalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I like the dreamy feel of this Irma. The curtains on the right could use a little toning down to my eye, but I guess it's all personal taste ![Smile Smile](https://www.shuttertalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Thanks for your comments. I have other curtains they are a bit darker so I will change them and I will take the picture earlier when the sunlight is not in the window... Unfortunately, this is the only flower I have, I bought it because I found the texture, very interesting... It is as if it were made of paper.... I will try again tomorrow with a different composition...
Thanks you all for your advice![Smile Smile](https://www.shuttertalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Maybe crop a little of the curtain. The flower is too far to the left.

I like the dreamy effect you've used here. I agree with Kombi though, the white of the flower melts into the white of the curtain, and looses some of its impact

Thanks Schell, Don... I will reshoot this one today...

I think the composition is fine, it's the background that I feel needs a little work.
