This was shot down my suburban avenue about 10 miles from downtown. The shot was handheld using the 380 mm equiv. I am shivering with joy.

Yeah Don, this one seems to work really well!
Lovely compression from the telephoto, and the haze on the far buildings helps create layers of detail. The light and the fact that all the traffic is heading away from the camera all give a "life goes on" type of feel which is really nice.
I also like the composition of this one but I can't quite figure out why.
I've taken a couple of similar shots of streets in my hometown of Hobart and also liked them, but I just assumed it was because it was where I grew up and so had so many memories of those streets.. but I get drawn into this shot the same way.. so maybe that isn't the reason at all.
Either way, it certainly works for me.
Edit: I just realised you posted this to showcase the lens rather than the image! haha.. I still really like the image, but the lens seems great too. Nice and sharp, and in that fading light you did well to keep it that sharp hand-held.
Cheers
Adrian
Thanks Kombi--I havent had a long lens before really. It''s a novelty for me.
Don, you were
meant to have a super telephoto lens.
Congrats!
