The white pillow in the background and the highlight in the t-shirt are a bit distracting...

I am missing mommy's arms in this picture. I don't see a good proportion between her hands and her face in the background and without seen here arms... I can't make a clear relation.... There is also her hand at the left of the picture, that is a bit shadowy, in B&W it makes her hand to look dramatic... opposite felling to the rest of the picture... and contrasting with the other hand that looks relaxed...

I really don't know but if you tried a light sepia convertion... her hand wouldn't look so hard and the perseption of the image is different? ....
The picture doesn't say "silent night" to me. It says "striped tush." So I guess I just don't find the "subject" very compelling. It's cute, but I don't think it conveys the same emotion to the average viewer as it does to you. I could be wrong ... Smile
I would like to see a different focus point on this one - maybe O's face or your wife's. From the title, it implies that the sleeping is the main subject, but the focus is "hands". A different focus would help to clarify the subject .
