Christian.....

I like your composition, I think it is quite interesting... but I really don't know what to think about the format you have here because it is neither a landscape nor a square ... I find it a bit undefined... but I might be wrong...

I am not really too much into these colors for a sunset... but this is after all, personal taste... It looks like a mixture of romanticism and drama...

I like the silhouettes of the palm trees, the blurriness of the trees goes in accordance with the effect you have in the sea...
Hi Byrt,

I like the composition of the shot, but the colours are a little too OTT for my taste. Especially the sun itself as I'm finding that very red "balloon" shape distracting....I first thought it was a severe case of lens flare, and it took me a moment to realise that that shape was the sun and its refectioon on the sea. Nice in an arty, print of a painting sort of way, though.

hi

thanks, much appreciated your comments....

yes i totally i agree with you both, when i started i was having this pix in my mind but i got carried away with the colours.

the size...yes i started with a 800x600 but then i though i was too big.

the sun....uuhmmm i know what you mean i tryed to blur it a bit and then added a drop shadow to difused more.

created in photoshop with brushes and render clouds, fibers, gradients.

thanks i will work againg in something else.

regards

christian
It is interesting from a graphic design view - but I find the red a bit intense as it is so much tonally brighter than the blue and black in the photo. Because of the tonal difference, it seems obviously added on, If you brightened the blue or toned down the red, the photo would hang together better. I would suggest reducing the intensity of the red.

One other thing - the reflection of the sun on the water is not symetrical to the viewer's point of view - it is skewed to the right. Because reflections are always relative to your eye, you will never see this effect in real life. The relection that you see will always point towards the center of the camera lens. The viewer instinctively knows this - even if he doesn't realize it - and this makes the reflection look fake.

Just my $.02
