I like this tree a lot...

lovely, irma.
Thanks Don for your comment Smile
I like it too - it stands out prominently and the colour in the background is great. Maybe clone out some of the black stuff along the bottom of the frame?
I like the sky colour Irma. Shoot this in early evening?
very nice, love the colours and the foggy-ish background
Love your treatment of this shot irma, its lovely and moody!
ST now that you mentioned ... Probably a bit of gardening in PS wouldn't hurt... Smile

Colin, I took the picture in the morning, the same day I got the pink fog picture, I posted in the assignment few days ago...

Thanks a lot for your comments... Smile
I like the fog and the color. I wonder what it would be like if the entire bush on the right side of the photo was cloned out - a more sharpely defined subject I think.. When I cover the right bush with my hand, I like it better.

This was a magical morning - some very lovely moments happening here.
Thanks Toad for your comment and advice... I really don't know if I am capable to do the cloning of the bush because in the very corner is too dark... but it could be very interesting to do it...

Yes, Toad... It was a beautiful morning... as I live in one edge of a little village, I just need to walk one block, so to say, and I am surrounded by cows and fields... That day, I was out when the sun was still hidden... there was a lot of light... I took a lot of pictures of the sunrise as well... the colors of the sky were beautiful... That is why I would like to buy a special filter to take sunrise and sunset and not to have the sun blown out, or at least not that much....
I actually like the bush, it gives you some foreground and to me helps build the image and the gradual dissolving into the fog.

Nice shot Irma, love the color.
Thanks a lot Bob for your comment... This is nice you like it with the bush...

I decided to work on this one, and remove the bush just to see how it looks... and somehow as a learning material for composition and cloning!!!

It was a bit difficult to remove the bush and I had to improvise the rest of the fence in the corner... I did it in PS.... I would normally have done it in PSP as I am more familiar with that program... but well... I did it in PS and I learned a lot!!! Smile Do you think I did it well? :|

Here we have the picture without the bush... now we can compare with both pictures... Smile

Bob, Do you still like it with the bush?
Great cloning work there Irma!!
I think its much more dramatic without the bush.
Yes definitely better second time round!
I'm still gonna go with the bush in Big Grin I feel the tree looks to centered without any other foreground items.

Very nice job on the cloning though Irma Smile
Thanks for your comments... Smile

Yes, Bob the tree looks very centered... the bush somehow disguised that... as Schell said... it looks more dramatic without the bush... I think this sort of exercises help a lot to your composition when you are out taking pictures, and also to express better what you want to say...

I am very happy you found the cloning right Big Grin
That works! There was nothing wrong with the bush - removing it just makes the shot more dramatic and focusses the viewer's attention by removing distractions. The composition is very centered, but I still think it is better than with the bush.
All that is missing is a sinister looking crow in the branches
Either way Great Color Irma! The bush seems more natural...I just went out and got some colorful shots of sunsets with fall colors in the trees..Still learnin with my Canon I'll share my photos soon..But I like the work you did..Very nice! I hope to be as good..
Thanks a lot for your comments and advice... I am very happy you like it. So far the two pictures I have posted from that morning have been nice.... and I think the success was that it was foggy but not cloudy. There was a clear sky so I had colors to work with...

About the crow... I like the idea... I might try to do something with another picture I have Smile

Jen, The colors in the sunset are so warm and special... I look forward to seeing your pictures... Smile
Excellent with cloning - if I may suggest just a very subtle crop to make the photo less dead center...

P.S. I like the crow idea too - if you can somehow work it in without being too over the top.
