Looks great, Zig! Looks like something out of the bible... like a city facing judgment from God's wrath...
Is this with an IR filter or post processsed? Can we see the original?

Beautiful picture.... Very nice detail... Your post processing works very well... It looks as if only the village were lit by a big reflector...

Thank you guys.
Spot on Jules; I'd had lots of "things"(in the Christian sense) happening to do with God's plan for my area, my church; this seemed to capture the tone of a dream I had(assure you I'm not going nuts btw!)
Here's the original, done straight from raw as lo-quality, no sharpening or nuffink!
The light was seasonal rather than filtered; a polariser brings it out.
My "process" for that IR feel is to start from(in this instance) a low-contrast, standard-saturation unsharpened jpeg which looks awful.
I then use the channel mixer in mono "16-bit" to really pull down the blue; I then ease up green until well-lit greens are rendered light grey, careful to keep the dark sky from my pulling down the blue channel.
Thus, I have a muddy mono mash...but burn away and dodge before sharpening.

Very nice photo. The night scene is a great choice for a picture. Too bad there wasn't a church steeple sticking out amungst the houses.
