Thanks for sharing these. Im bet they will / are very happy with the first shot, looks great.
Although I agree with Byrt that the expression is disturbing in the last image, I still like it technically. What post processing did you use on the last image?

I'm interested to know what techniques wedding photographers use to highlight the white dress and veil in a colour shot.

hi

smarti77 most of the time they use diffuse glow or gassian blur

these two mix with layers and mask

Heres a pretty simple tutorial on the effects...
Image #1 is a bit odd with the veil over the grooms head.
#2, still odd but they do seem to be having fun. Good candid.
#3, as said a good shot and processing. A real shame about the brides expression. I had the same issue last summer at a wedding shoot. Very disappointing.
Nice work on the first two, brides really love that stuff - however, I also dislike the last shot because of the sunglasses, expression and post processing (too much).

Looks like they had fun.

Well done.
Personally, I think the critiques are too harsh in this case.
I've seen, (and I guess others have too), "pro" photographers produce results way below this standard.

Maybe its a slight cultural bias, or even a nationalistic one, but I'd say "Good show!" Hope you make £1000's. Smile
I like the first too shots, nice b&w there. The last one I feel is a little too soft, but that is just my liking otherwise I like the post processing.

Another lovely shot that I have seen similar to your first one is with the veil over the brides face with the groom kissing her through the veil, just another idea for next time Wink

Thanks for sharing these, good on you for getting yourself out there- I'm sure the couple will be delighted!
I have no issues with those shots, look brilliant and i have also seen wedding shots way below par.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial Peter.
Hi thanks for the feedback.

I had seen that done at a wedding before - groom kissing the bride under the vail and I thought it was a bit of fun.

This is only my second wedding and I know that I have lots to learn. I found the family shots the hardest.

I would love to assist a pro wedding photographer here in the UK for a while. Anyone in Hampshire?? Smile
