Great shots everyone! Love the roundabout matthew!
Sorry for the delay in replying... changing ISP's and had no internet at home this week.
yes... my shot was from inside a microwave oven.

When it finishes cooking it keeps rotating for another 5 seconds, so I just set it to 1 second at the lowest power and I get 6 seconds of rotation to play with. I don't accept responsibility for anyone who might kill their own camera this way.
I did a few others (including placing other items on the rotating plate along with the camera), but liked the one I posted for its simplicity.
Well the camera techically was moving............ inside the car travelling at 80klm/h :/

Byrt, sg, I like the photos, and I really like the way you're thinking through the subject.
But, you also need to post them in the gallery. Images here do NOT enable you to win any prizes, even if they're taken during the challenge period.
EVERYONE needs to post their favourites to the gallery if they're within the eligibility rules: taken during the two-week Challenge period, and not created through post-processing. I've even posted some of my own, just to prove how easy it is, even though I'm the ONLY person* not eligible to receive any prizes.
Here's a handy shortcut to the Gallery:

(*Well, I suppose Julian isn't really eligible either, since I'd just be giving his money back to him. What's the point of that?)
hi
uuhmm i have tryed to upload but it does not?
could anyone help? maybe step by step
thanks
christian
From the gallery page, click on "Upload File"
Click "choose file" to select the one you want.
Find the image file and select it -- your title and directory structure may differ...
When you've selected all that you want to upload, click "Continue"...
It gives you a friendly confirmation message, click "continue"...
...and brings you to the screen that I always get wrong. Fill in all the information, and make sure you select the correct gallery. Do this for each image, and you're done.
...and you're done!

Thanks for the inspiration matthew... and for being a helpful, good natured organiser.

Three cheers!

i find it very very strange that no one else has posted anything else???
whats going on??
Must be the little green men...

Here are a few more.
As you may be able to tell, I'm enjoying this.
Especially seeing other people's interpretations and learning from them.
After looking at my last series and noting the effect of a computer monitor's refresh rate, I decided to concentrate on that for a while.
The blue part is my monitor and the streaks are the vents in the top of my desk lamp.
Finally, I have one inspired by byrt_001 and sg, taken out the passenger window while we were driving past a stopped city bus.
I'm done with these experiments for now, so all that remains is to pick some for the contest.
Anyone want to help me choose?
hi
enter all, there are all good
moving toes
moving plant moving me
I just re-looked at every photo in this thread. It's absolutely wild. Other assignments may have produced more images, but nothing has contained this level of innovation and variety.
KEEP IT UP!
The gallery will close about 48 hours from the time I've posted this message.
Here is my addition...
Snowdrops
Worked with curves and desaturation...
Here is the second one ...
I didn't add it to the gallery because I don't know if this picture can compete... I worked channel mixer, hue/saturation and contrast...
Stormy
Thanks so much for this assignment it was great to work with moving camera...

The gallery is now closed, so no more photos can be uploaded to it.

But, as always, the assignment thread remains open for and further experimentation you'd like to share. This really is a lot of fun, and as we've seen, can produce varied and very appealing results.
While I want to thank
everyone who has participated in the Moving Camera Challenge, I feel special recognition is deserved by
byrt_001,
KeithAlanK, and
Schellamo. They've all shown tremendous enthusiasm and entered multiple images. Shuttertalk will be contacting you shortly with the details about your shiny new $10 vouchers for Amazon.
And thanks, Shuttertalk!

Congratulations to byrt_001, KeithAlanK, and Schellamo !!!
You deserve it, your pictures are wonderful...

Congrats to you all. Looks like everyone put in a fine effort. Great images. Gee Christian, what would you have done if you hadn't of bought a point and shoot?

hi
thanks, much appreciated
the 10 will come handy to the next book.
peto:lol
Very Cool!!
I have won a fair share of contests in my long career as a photographer (16 months) but this is the first time I have actually been awarded anything tangible and spendable.
My sincere thanks to Matthew, Shuttertalk and all the fine members who participated or just looked at our entries.
On the other hand, I feel a little guilty because I have more experience at this 'moving camera' game than anyone else here, since I have played at it more than a few times after first giving the same assignment at the old SonyCams site.
And....I don't shop online.
Can I award my prize to Irma as a way of recognizing her excellent entries, and how different they were from mine?
And as a token of my appreciation for her unique style and for the kind comments she has made on my other photos?
Congrats everyone - thanks for your participation and support - I really enjoyed looking at everyone's photos! And much thanks especially to Matthew, who ran his first comp at Shuttertalk.
Keith, that's very generous of you...
I'll be contacting the winners via PM or email with the details...
